Simple Fitting Instructions for Ideal Comfort:
- Adapting the mouthguard is effortless. Follow these steps carefully for the perfect fit:
- Heating: Boil water and let it stand for 30 seconds. Submerge the mouthguard for 10 seconds, ensuring only the mouthguard is covered with water.
- Adjusting: Retrieve the mouthguard from the hot water with a spoon. Shake off excess water and place it in the mouth, centering the channel around the upper teeth. The mouthguard will be warm but not hot.
- Shaping: With the upper teeth centered in the channel, gently bite into the mouthguard, removing air and water by pressing the tongue against the back of the upper teeth. Use fingers to press the mouthguard's outer walls against the teeth and gums.
- Cooling: Keep the mouthguard in the mouth for 30 seconds, then remove and rinse it under running cold water.
Useful Tips for Optimal Fit:
- Repeat the fitting process if the fit isn't perfect.
- If the mouthguard is too large, trim a small amount from the ends before fitting.
- Clean by rinsing with water and brushing with toothpaste.
- For use with braces, consult your orthodontist.
